MUSEUM OF MY FRIENDS #2 :: MARION CONROW
A collection of stories by artists with disability in response to COVID-19, displayed in an interactive immersive installation and in virtual reality.
Museum of My Friends #2 (MOMF#2), is a collection of stories by artists with disability in response to COVID-19, displayed in an interactive immersive installation and in virtual reality. Marion Conrow, James Cunningham, Karla Dickens, Kath Duncan, Daniel Savage and Kevin Ryan address aspects of disability and arts during COVID-19 by capturing them in conversation, as well as creative responses.
Marion’s passion is projection installation, layering of imagery via still, moving and sculptural to create an atmosphere and a sense of immersion. This work is also being built in virtual reality (for Occulus headsets). With a focus on lush/ fun/colorful to the dark and serious, the artists will cover COVID-19 experiences, issues, opinions, solutions and art that will provoke thought.
Mentors and collaborators include Suzon Fuks, Brad Hammond (EXP.org.au) and soundtrack/bites by infamous DJ Stephen Allkins and Ro Bentwing.
This project was made possible by funding by Australia Council for the Arts, Create NSW Health and Wellbeing COVID-19 Initiative, Regional Arts NSW, and the sponsorship of EXP.org.au
