The ‘Red Shed” shows my beloved home and studio located on Gibbon St, Woolloongabba and its demolition in time-lapse. It made way for a new tunnel, but it also meant no more affordable studios in Brisbane.

This space was shared with many people of note such as  Judy Watson and Sally Hart

Shown at Queensland Centre for Photography 2006, the structure was built by Urban Arts.

The paired piece to “Shed Dead”, this shows a work I was creating within The Red Shed. It magnifies a tiny plastic earring, its centre all cracked. I loved how the light caught within those cracks and impaired the reflection. To me this object was a personal metaphor as I felt it was some kind of memory storing device. Within the reflection is a ghost overlay of events and people that happened at the warehouse, including its evacuation and the subsequent inhabitation by the graffiti crew Man Man.
